Mbappé fires France past Türkiye in Nations League opener

A second-half finish from the France captain gave Zinédine Zidane a victory in his first match in charge.

France opened their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 1-0 victory away to Türkiye, Kylian Mbappé scoring the only goal in the 54th minute after a pass from Michael Olise.

Olise had a curling effort saved in the first half and Mike Maignan denied İsmail Yüksek after the interval. Mbappé's finish ultimately separated the sides and gave Zinédine Zidane a winning start as France coach.
